Fleet Day

This past Saturday, I had the opportunity to photograph the Golden Isles Sailing Club’s Fleet Day sail in St. Simons Sound on the Georgia coast. I was joined by two other photographers on the deck of the Sidney Lanier Bridge in Brunswick, Georgia to gain an aerial perspective of the boats as they sailed along. The weather forecast had not been promising, calling for severe thunderstorms and rain. Fortunately, the weather held, and we began with calm winds under blue skies. Soon, the sky clouded and the sea breeze filled in. The storms did arrive eventually, and the time they did, the boats were back in their slips.

More new work will be coming along soon. Take care, and stay in touch.
