Of course, I’m speaking with great deference and respect for the most beautiful of all light, window light. It’s been my primary light source for all of my art nude and portraiture photography for nearly four years now. It’s malleable and fluid, changing with the passing minutes and moments of the day. It’s light that’s simply amazing.
Of course, it’s not without its own sets of frustrations. It’s subject to the whims of weather and the restrictions of time. Yet no matter how frustrating and uncooperative window light may be, when the image made with it unfolds before you, when the glow of soft light on beautiful form and shape is beheld, all is forgiven.
Here are three from recent window light sessions; a beautiful portrait of Sarah, a contemplative study of Katlyn, and a wistful study of Melissa made during a late Sunday afternoon, just after a thunderstorm.
I hope you find them as beautiful as I do.
As always, I hope all of you are well. Please keep in touch.
